Welcome to the Maidstone Hackspace Laser cut Wall Art & Feature Décor Workshop!
This introductory course is designed for all skill levels, from beginners to experienced crafters. Whether you’re seeking a creative outlet to manage stress, build confidence, or simply explore the therapeutic benefits of Creative Practice as Mutual Recovery (CPMR), this workshop provides the perfect opportunity. You’ll design and create your laser cut Wall Art or Feature Décor piece, with guidance from our team using traditional methods, graphic tools, or even artificial intelligence.

These workshops are funded by the UK Shared Prosperity Fund (UKSPF) and Maidstone Borough Council, with the aim of:
- Increasing pride in our borough and its communities
- Increasing participation and engagement in arts and cultural activities, working with diverse audiences
- Supporting new and existing creative talent in the borough
- Promoting the benefits of arts and culture to our society, economy, health, and wellbeing
Important Advisory: The workshop is held on the third floor of the Maidstone Community Support Centre, which regretfully lacks lift access. Therefore, we advise against applying if you are unable or find it difficult to climb stairs. We are working to improve this situation for the future.
Feedback: At the end of the course, attendees will be asked to complete a short survey to help Maidstone Hackspace gather feedback on the participants’ experience.
